Mission to Hope 91km (528km total)
Another fairly straightforward day, the mighty Fraser River was never far away but there were also lots of farms and orchards. It was very pretty with the mountain backdrop. One thing I have definitely noticed biking along is the sense of smell, normally in a car we are so cut off from the huge variety of smells out there (of course I personally don't smell!!).
Hwy 7 was again pretty quiet as for over half of today the main Hwy 1 was an option for drivers on the other side of the river. I am camped in a nice spot by the river in Hope, windy but that means things can air and there are no bugs which makes me very happy as the mosquitoes in Mission feasted on me last night and this morning as if they knew I was not going to be there long!!
I seem to be managing the sun and heat well with sunscreen and lots of fluids. Tomorrow is rated by many who have crossed Canada as physically the hardest day, to say I am nervous is an understatement.
"You went in anyway..." Quite the rebel you are, Lucy. You'll be perfectly suited for Anarchist Mtn here in Osoyoos!
