What I've been up to!!!

On Sunday I headed out early with Treena to the Grand Prix de Cycliste Montreal, part of the UCI World Series. It was an awesome day if a little chilly. Treena has been before so knew of some great spots for viewing on the course which went through hilly Parc Mont Royal. She also packed us lots of snacks and goodies to ensure we stayed hydrated and fueled for the duration. Many of the big teams were there including the British Team Sky. Before the drive back we ate arepas at a funky little Venezuelan restaurant.

The last couple of days have been busy, I have to admit I was exhausted after the long day on Sunday and my legs and particularly my Achilles were sore as I really haven't walked a lot this summer!! I have seen a few friends but I knew I would not be able to see everyone and I am hoping you will all understand that I will have more time at the end of October.

I have to mention Nancy though as I got a lot of stuff done yesterday and there is absolutely no way I would have done it without her driving me around. Also massive thanks to Graham at Bushtukah who took a look at my bike and Julie at Evolution Physiotherapy who stuck needles in my ankle and calf and showed me how best to tape it up!!

I am going to have a quiet day at Nancy's today before heading out tomorrow on my bike. I raided my storage unit for my warmer sleeping bag, clothes and gloves as well as a thermos for tea etc. but I need to finalize a route today.
